community newsLGBT HustingsThursday, 8 April 2010 REALBrighton and Gscene magazine are supporting Spectrum to give LGBT voters in Brighton & Hove a chance to put questions to local candidates on issues that concern them. The event will be run in a Question Time format and will be expertly chaired by Chris Gull. Each of the parties will get a (brief) chance to let you know why they deserve your vote, and then there'll be a chance for questions from the floor. REALBrighton is collecting questions in advance - just fill in the feedback form with your own details and the questions you'd like to ask and we'll collate these and take them along to the event. Closing date for questions is Wednesday April 28th. The meeting itself will be held at 7pm on Thursday April 29th at the Friend's Meeting House in Ship Street. The venue is wheelchair accessible and has an induction loop, but people with other needs should contact us. A spokesperson for Spectrum said, "There’s all to be won (or lost) in this election for MPs in the three marginal Brighton & Hove constituencies. Whoever wins will need to win your trust to represent you and 35,000 other LGBT citizens in the city. So whether you’ve got a burning issue and want answers; made up your mind and want to show your support; are undecided; swinging; or confused and want to know more - all are welcome."
