business newsSummer on the decks!Friday, 21 April 2006 Golden Handbag Best DJ winner, Wild Fruit headliner and general all-round nice guy Pete Hayward is back on our decks at the Real City Network head office for the sixth, seventh and eighth time... Hotel St. Tropez is a three-CD collection and is part of a series representing the swishest hotels in the Med... if you've only ever heard Pete playing at Brighton's Wild Fruit parties then this release will be quite a surprise for you! It all began, says Pete, at a beach party in Cannes (the bastard! I don't remember my invite!) where record company Crazy Diamond's boss approached Pete to work on a "lifestyle specific" music project. The idea behind Tropez was to represent the exclusive vibe of a certain establishment... The first CD, Private Members Club, is a sexy, dancy, show-off collection of up-tempo but still very chilled tracks. The second CD, Jimmy's Bar & Lounge, brings you beats that are so laid-back you can feel your brain changing down a gear seconds after you start playing it, and Goloka's Zen Room Session is Pete's own production... deeply chilled but stimulating electronica. It's all a bit special. As ever, the CDs have been on an endless loop in the office since we got our copy... the only thing missing is the warm breeze... the cocktail in our hands... the beach babes... You an get your own slice of summer next time you stop off at Conran or various other high class establishments in Paris and Tokyo... but for the rest of us (!) it's also available at Virgin or HMV! your commentssaid by brighton A super guy who has helped develop the musical tastes of this city over the last decade. Following the release of Hotel St. Tropez, one of the tracks from his electronica production is now being released on the new Summer '06 Café Mambo Collection! The track, Thinking About You, was produced by Mr Haywood and James Wiltshire before he went on to form the Freemasons and also previously appeared on Crazy Diamond's 'Café Nirvana'. The track will also be included in Mr Haywood/Miss Carisma's new signed Goloka album project 'Afterglow' to be released in September...
