community newsBoom Bang A BangFriday, 16 May 2008 Do you Dana circa 1970 or Dana International all drag like. Is it all about Lulu’s ‘Boom Bang A Bang’ or are you still recovering from Jordon’s, sorry we mean Katie Price’s, pink catsuit? Has recent tales of a Cliff Richard’s robbed ‘Congratulations’ left you as furious as you get with the Eastern Europe block voting. Oh yes it’s that time of year again. We’re talking the Eurovision Contest. A time of unity, creativity and love across the Europe. Or not. Whatever you award this annual kitsch fest be it douze or nil points there’s no denying it’s a party waiting to be had. And this year the Terrence Higgins Trust is urging Eurovision Song Contest fans to hold a Eurovision party to raise funds for the charity by giving out party packs for the event on Saturday 24th May. Also included are Terry Wogan masks for guests and national flag cocktail sticks. Add your own additions – is vodka the national drink of every country taking part we wonder? – and the THT Eurovision pack looks like a way of adding a little (more) campery to your Eurovision party. After all ‘What’s Another Year’ when your ‘Making Your Mind Up’ to have a great night with Eurovision. ‘Ding-A-Dong’.
