A 66-year-old man was arrested on Monday night with a 49-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday morning. Both have been detained on suspicion of murder. The victim had been walking in Canal Street when the two men approached him, one of whom attacked him.

A 49-year-old man was also arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of murder and is in police custody for questioning.
At this stage, there is nothing to indicate that the incident was homophobic in nature though the investigation is ongoing."
