As soon as you walk in to Coriander Restaurant & Deli you will know immediately that you've found an emporium of good food. One half is dedicated to relaxed dining, while the other displays an array of excellent quality ingredients - both complementing each other. Your host, David, and his team can only be described as wildly enthusiastic about what they do, and you're sure of a warm welcome and knowledgeable advice, whether you're eating in or taking out.

The Restaurant

An ever changing menu promises to whisk you around the globe with strong influences from European, Indian and Pan-Pacific cuisines and using the highest quality organic ingredients that the UK has to offer. Here, you are likely to find rustic mediterranean classics sitting quite comfortably with South American favourites, subtle flavours from India with honest-to-goodness Aussie staples. To say there is something to titillate everyone's tastebuds would be a vast understatement. There's more than a touch of genius in the way that inspiration is drawn from unexpected places; David told us that just watching a sports event on television could have him reaching for the chillies and ginger - so do keep an eye on the specials board! Coriander Restaurant is open for Breakfast/Brunch, Lunch and Dinner and also has one of the most colourful Sunday Lunch menus we've seen. You'll also find a very carefully selected wine list from around the world or around the corner. Outside seating is popular in the warm weather, where you can enjoy a leisurely al fresco lunch and watch the world go by. There's also ample on-street parking very close-by.

The restaurant is open Wednesday - Sunday (closed Monday & Tuesday) from 9.30am to 10pm.

The Deli

Rather reassuringly for diners, you've only to walk a few steps into the Deli to see the very high standard of ingredients used - and you're encouraged to take something away with you and have a go yourself. An astonishing range of olive oils, fabulous plump olives piled high in earthenware dishes and freshly baked breads provide an aroma to overload the senses. Organic vegetables, sauces and condiments fill the shelves and the chiller cabinet displays the huge range of fabulous continental meats and cheeses. Any budding foodie will have a field day. Talking of which, if you fancy a picnic on the beach just out front, then there's homemade salads, pies and samosas that are just crying out to be taken with you. Everything is carefully selected from organic producers with an emphasis on Eco-Friendly so that's one guilt trip you won't have - although we can't accept responsibility for you wanting to eat everything in sight!

The deli is open seven days a week - Sunday - Tuesday from 9.30am to 6pm and Wednesday to Saturday from 9.30am to 10pm.
