One thing is certain in life; nothing is free...or is it? Well with the fuel bills going up and the press talking up all kinds of economic doom we are all starting to wonder if we can afford to pay to go into a nightclub any more. Well the guys at Legends ‘The Basement Club’ have decided to make a brave move and drop their weekend door charges this winter. That means no more wondering if you can afford to go out or where to go because you can just wander down from Legends to the ‘The Basement Club’ and you know you are not going to pay a single penny for entry. No more fumbling about for tickets, it's now free flow between the floors and what's more you can go in and out of the venue as many times as you like, opening the door to many more club crawls. Couple that with 'Celebration' the campest Friday night in Brighton, with the legendary Dolly Rocket and ex G-A-Y DJ Nik Shepardson spinning a great mix of party sounds and Saturdays 'Ignition' with Brighton favourites DJ Peter Castle and DJ Lee Harris playing a house and chart mix... And you've got one hell of a party weekend. So now you’ve got one venue with two scenes, and it's all for FREE. So if all the music is too much for you, you can cruise upstairs and take in a different scene, have a fag (if you are so inclined), take in the views. All without door charges! Phew! Arran from Legends thinks ‘The Basement Club’ @ Legends' new policy of completely free clubbing may just be the beginning of a gay clubbing revival in Brighton. So now there are even more great reasons to get down to Legends and ‘The Basement Club’. |
